Who Is Nicola De Filippo
Software Architect, Mentor, and Tech Explorer.

My journey began in the ’80s on a Commodore Amiga 500, and my passion for exploring new technologies has never faded. From the early days of AmigaBasic and C to the web development boom, I have always been driven by curiosity and a deep-rooted love for open-source—a journey that started with Linux during my university years and continues to define my work today.
Technical Focus & Leadership
Over the decades, I have navigated through embedded systems, mobile platforms, and backend development. Currently, my professional focus is centered on:
- Software Architecture: Designing robust and scalable systems.
- Systems Programming: Leveraging the power and safety of Go and Rust.
Beyond the code, I am deeply committed to the human side of technology. I believe in building and mentoring teams that can grow, collaborate, and navigate complexity together.
Education & Sharing
I also share my experience as a teacher in the iOS Foundation course at the University of Sannio. My goal is to help students bridge the gap between solid engineering principles and real-world development practices.
