Who Is Nicola De Filippo

I started coding in the ’80 when I was a teenager with a Commodore Amiga 500. My first programming language was AmigaBasic but soon I passed to C Language (I remember the C compilers for the AmigaOS: Lattice and Aztec).

In the ’90 were the years of the internet boom, so I learned the server and front-end things, PHP, Javascript, Apache, MySQL, and so on. At the university I knew Linux and the OpenSource world, it was love at first sight and the first love is never forgotten. At that time I started to use also Qt for the GUI (and never stopped).

In 2000 the pass from Linux Embedded to the Mobile world was immediate (at the beginning mainly in OpenSource projects, Maemo, Meego, and now SailfishOS).

In this time I’m involved a lot in the iOS and Android world without forget the Server/Serverless world (where my cents are for Golang, Elm, and AWS things). In my life (professional and otherwise) I have never lost sight of the human aspects, so I am interested in how to improve the work of teams and its complexity.
